Software Engineer

Job Description:
Are you a software engineer who is visually oriented, interested in interior design and solving space planning problems?  On top of that do you have the skills and the passion to master a variety of skills oriented towards consumer oriented computing platforms?

We are looking for an entry level to intermediate level software engineer to join our Consumer Software division to work on the LiveStorage software development team to maintain and extend the LiveStorage application, and develop graphics rich applications on web and mobile platforms. 

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to think visually in 2D and 3D, perform strongly in teams and individually, work and learn quickly, and fearlessly be able to learn new technologies and languages.  Candidate should also demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer or product requirements and specifications to create time and cost estimates.
  • Maintain and extend software systems on the LiveStorage platform, and related tools.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new software platforms on consumer related devices.
  • Manage or create a multitude of media and cad types in the creation of product catalogs and user interfaces, primarily jpg, and 3DS Max files.
  • Work with QA to robustly test, and debug software.
  • Analyze crash and bug reports from users, and respond to critical issues with patch updates.
  • Perform documentation and release management tasks.

Skills:

  • C++/MS Visual Studio experience a must.
  • Strong object oriented software design skills.
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D graphics concepts, tools and file formats.
  • The following are not required but helpful:  C#/.NET, HTML 5/JavaScript/SQL, Objective C, XCode.

Education & Training:
Bachelors Degree in CS or related.
