Video: New in v32, AutoCAD DWG Export
New with v32, Z-Axis features the AutoCAD DWG export feature. For both 2D and 3D, Z-Axis now adopts many AutoCAD conventions in common use among contract office furniture sales and design tools. Each entity in the DWG file is placed on a layer that follows the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National CAD Standard (NCS). This includes furniture items, floor items, and props.
Each product block is fully attributed to support popular third-party SIF takeoff utilities for generating a bill of materials for support with ProjectSpec and CAP. Each block is also correctly positioned and rotated to support block substitution utilities (for example, translation to/from 2D and 3D). Any AutoCAD objects imported into Z-Axis (for example, a building shell, or third-party product symbols like CAD Pack) are exported to AutoCAD with their original full fidelity.
